Đại dịch COVID-19 đã gây một tác động và thiệt hại rất lớn lên tất cả các nước trên thế giới. Cho thời điểm hiện tại đã có hơn 120 triệu người nhiễm virus với hơn 2.5 triệu người chết chỉ sau 1 năm đại dịch hoành hoành. Trí tuệ nhân tạo (AI) và công nghệ 5G là một trong những công cụ hữu hiệu ứng phó với đại dịch khi nó xuất hiện và tiến triển. Tuy nhiên vẫn còn nhiều những vấn đề cần thiết để hiểu rõ những ứng dụng này, để làm sao chúng ta có thể chuẩn bị và ứng phó với những đại dịch trong tương lai.

Chính vì thế những buổi chia sẻ thông tin và kiến thức cần được tổ chức thường xuyên với đối tượng chính là các bạn SV ở VN và ASEAN, sau đó là những người đang làm nghiên cứu có liên quan đến các vấn đề công nghệ mới như AI, Big Data, và 5G.

Trường ĐH Duy Tân sẽ tổ chức các chương trình chia sẻ kiến thức AI như thế này. Bắt đầu từ ngày 24 tháng 3, với chủ đề là “Vai trò của AI và 5G trong cuộc chiến phòng chống Covid”. Sẽ diễn ra vào lúc 4h chiều ngày 24 tháng 3.

Chương trình sẽ do các chuyên gia về AI và 5G tham gia. Buổi panel discussion này sẽ diễn ra chủ yếu bằng tiếng Việt, nhưng có khách mời là GS người Anh, những phần nói chuyện bằng English thì sẽ được dịch ra tiếng Việt.

Dr. Trung Q. Duong is a Professor and Chair of Telecommunications at Queen’s University Belfast (QUB), UK and a Research Chair of Royal Academy of Engineering. He has served as an Editor for IEEE Trans on Wireless Communications and an Executive Editor of IEEE Communications Letters. His research interests are in the fields of signal processing for wireless communications, real-time optimisation, machine learning and their applications to healthcare, natural and built environment, smart cities, smart agriculture, etc. (Google Scholar: >11,500 citations, h-index of 60). He is the recipient of the Royal Academy of Engineering Research Fellowship (2015–2020) and the prestigious Newton Prize 2017 awarded by the UK Government.

Dr The Anh Han is an associate professor in Computer Science, Teesside University. Hiss current research spreads several topics, including incentive and behavioral modelling, evolutionary game theory, agent-based simulations and cognitive modelling. He has published over 80 peer-reviewed articles in top-tier Computer Science conferences and high-ranking scientific journal. He received prestigious research fellowships and grants (as Principal Investigator) from the Future of Life Institute, Leverhulme Trust Foundation, and FWO Belgium. He serves on the Editorial Boards of several international journals including Plos One and Adaptive Behavior.

Dr Claudio Angione is an Associate Professor in Computer Science at Teesside University, where he leads the Computational Systems Biology and Data Analytics Research Group. He also held two Visiting Professor positions at the University of Bari, Italy, and at KMUTT, Thailand. He joined TU in 2015, after a PostDoc at the University of Cambridge, and a research intern position at Microsoft Research UK. He holds a PhD in Computer Science from the University of Cambridge.

Dr Angione works at the intersection of computer science, mathematics and biology. Research topics include machine/deep learning, biomedical modelling and optimisation, systems biology, genome-scale cell models, statistical big data analytics. He has published more than 50 peer-reviewed papers, with recent projects led by Dr Angione being published in iScience (Cell Press) and PNAS. He has recently received several awards for his outstanding academic contributions, including an award by the Italian Embassy for the best research project in the Physical and Engineering Sciences in 2016.

Dr. Tuan T. Nguyen has a PhD in Computer Science from the University of Nottingham, an MSc in Computer Science from the University of the West of England, and a BSc in Information Technology from the University of Science, Vietnam. Prior to join the Department of Applied Computing at Buckingham University as an Assistant Professor, Tuan was a Research Fellow, Teaching Assistant and UG & PG supervisor at the School of Computer Science, University of Nottingham. During that time, he was involved in a numbers of projects including iBit, iPlant UK and Root hydrotropism. He also had several years working in the software industry before returning to academia. His research interests include Computer Vision, Image Processing & Analysis and Machine Learning. He has published a paper in Nature using AI for agriculture
